My one knitted holiday gift is in the books! Go me!
I wish I had the determination (and skill to knit faster!) to make more knitted goodies to give a gifts this time of year but, I just dont have it in me. Maybe next year? Hmm, we'll see...
But, I am in adore with my daughter's teacher so, it was easy to knit something up for her for a gift.
This was an on the fly, fast knit. I improvised the pattern using one hank of chunky Malabrigo in the colorway "stonechat".
Cast on 36 and K1 P1 for the entire length, knit flat. Sounds boring, I know, but I wanted something that didnt require much brain power. I seamed it up after a soak, stretch, and dry and voila!, fini!
I hope all your holiday knitting is ready to cast off and weave in the ends by this time! I have been itching to cast something else on since I finished this up today... I have some fabulous pink yarn that was gifted to me about a year ago that is just begging to be a cute hat for my daughter.
I'll keep you posted!

I like being able to knit without using a pattern. I finally memorized my pattern for hand warmers so I can knit that anywhere.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your knitted gift. I'm sure the receiver loved it.
